Two decades of making furniture taught Robert that in this life, he and dust were never going to get along. Dust won the the first round, Robert moving on to spend several years with the Algonquin Lakeshore Catholic District School Board. Then he saw the Bridge Street ad. "The instant I saw it I knew I was perfect for them, and they were perfect for me", he says.

"There were several things that appealed. It's a significant responsiblity - a large church, a chapel, gymnasium, and a number of offices and conference rooms. If there's a problem or an issue, it's my job to spot, and what I liked most of all, my job to fix."
Robert joined the Bridge Street staff in late 2006, replacing David McKnight, who after many years of service moved to a property management job with the Batawa Development Corporation. Robert is responsible for the general upkeep of our property, but also for staging and coordination of event logistics. For instance if you're a bride, Robert will be with you at the rear of the church to cue you for that walk down the aisle, and he'll be waiting to guide you when as a couple you walk back.

Robert has a near teenage son and teenage daughter, and like his predecessor, is an enthusiastic golfer. What does he do in winter? "Work. And wait for summer."
